Watch: A short video explaining what Protection & Advocacy (P&A) agencies do.
What is a Protection & Advocacy (P&A) agency?
Every state and territory has a Protection & Advocacy (P&A) agency. P&A agencies are mandated and funded by Congress to protect the rights of people with disabilities.
DROK has authority established by federal law to investigate abuse and neglect and to monitor services and facilities that serve people with disabilities. When needed, we can pursue administrative, legal, and other appropriate remedies to protect rights across Oklahoma.
